Port Maria Mayor, Richard Creary, is warning persons making the daily trek to the popular Spanish River Bridge attraction in St Mary that there will be a zero-tolerance approach to the hosting of parties and other activities at the venue.
The mayor’s warning comes following reports of “trips from all over the island” by revellers flocking to the Spanish River Bridge, oblivious or without care to health and safety guidelines, and in breach of the Disaster Risk Management Act.
“The St Mary Municipal Corporation has not granted any licence to anyone to operate such activities at Spanish River Bridge,” said Creary in an interview.
