Venus and Jupiter are about 430 million miles apart, but viewed from Earth they appear to be almost touching in a rare celestial spectacle enjoyed by stargazers, known as a planetary conjunction.
In what can be called a rare celestial spectacle, the solar system’s two brightest planets, Jupiter and Venus, will appear to collide with each other this weekend, said media reports.
But they will actually be millions of miles apart in space.
On Earth, they will appear as if they are going to collide. This planetary conjunction, however, occurs once a year.
