Morray Inks Major Label Deal Following “Quicksand” Boom
Morray has continued to come out the gate swinging. His 2021 includes seeing his breakout single “Quicksand” amass over 50 million views on YouTube; getting inked to Pick 6 Records; earning the support of J. Cole, DaBaby and JAY-Z himself, among other accolades. So it was only a matter of time before the Fayetteville native inked a major label deal.

MICHAEL STANLEY DIES
CLEVELAND (AP) Michael Stanley of the Michael Stanley Band put out his own obituary. Stanley died Thursday of lung cancer at the age of 72, according to his family. He had been an air personality at Cleveland’s WNCX radio, which posted a message of his death written by Stanley himself. It said in part, “Hey gang. Well, if you’re reading this then I am off to catch up with that big club tour in the sky. But before the bus pulls out I wanted to thank all of you for being part of my musical journey.” The Michael Stanley Band had hits in the 1980s with “He Can’t Love You” and “My Town.”
