Livingston County will be getting the coronavirus vaccine soon

Pontiac Daily Leader Livingston County will be getting the coronavirus vaccine soon, said Jackie Dever Thursday. This means emergency personnel and others in Phase 1A will possibly be vaccinated as soon as next week. Dever, administrator at the Livingston County Health Department, reported to the county board that there are two vaccines on the market and that there should be plenty to get through the first round. It might take another month before the general public will be able to get a vaccination. She also pointed out that the first shipment to the county will go to the hospital. Dever also noted that there are two companies with a vaccine Pfizer, which requires a deep freeze for storage, and Moderna, which can be shipped directly to the health department.
