WORK to fell trees infected by a deadly fungal disease is underway in the Towy Valley. Works are being carried out in the Llandeilo, Llandovery and Talley areas as well as the Cwmann area, near Lampeter. The trees, which are the responsibility of Carmarthenshire council, are showing at least 50 per cent dieback in their crown and are being felled as they are as risk of falling on the highway.
