this issue fp. i don t know about you, but to me the whole news cycle began this morning because of what the president was tweeting. we haven t had any action in the mueller probe for a long time. we re still waiting for the invasion of the caravan. i was ready to saddle up, jim. worry about the second coming of poncho villa that i just heard from general mattis. you got some six shooter there s in the vest pockets? you remember that? i did, i remember last week. what does that tell us. we re talking about mueller there. what i m saying is that the president likes to distract. he likes to influence, and he likes to color. the question is, what did he learn. what has him so worried that he took all this time to do it today. i think it has to be something. and yes i m not just guessing, for the sake of this conversation, all this time with his lawyers, seeing what the questions are about his conduct before he was president.

into direct contact with migrants. the question is what is this mission about? i think many of you are aware president wilson 100 years ago, a little over 100 years ago, deployed the u.s. army to the southwest border. that s over a century ago. the threat then was poncho villa s troops raiding across the border into the united states, new mexico in 1916. and there s a more recent history of d.o.d. support on the border. it spans four administrations in both political parties. well, keeping him honest, the defense secretary was trying to justify the president wanting troops at the border by comparing a group of migrants, many with young children fleeing violence at home and economic issues, to poncho villa s troops attacking new mexico in 1916. you can decide for yourself whether that is an appropriate comparison. he is correct that more recently other administrations have also
in texas congressman louie gohmert. thank you for coming on the program this morning, sir. what can you tell us about what you are seeing and the way the president is responding. what are your thoughts this morning as this caravan makes its way to the border? the president will be in houston for ted cruz today and i m honored to be here and be part of that. the president made no bones about it. and actually he can take his lead from the democrats. democrat named woodrow wilson, not one of my favorite presidents, but in 1916 after poncho villa s gangs came across the border and killed people, not only did he put 75,000 or so of a new thing called national guard troops on the border, but he sent general pershing into mexico. president trump made clear this basically is an invasion and it needs to be stopped.
medal of honor from the spanish-american war. the expedition against poncho villa. the banana wars as we call them. world war i, world war ii, all of the rest. i do not deserve this medal. i was a noncommissioned officer doing my job. i wear this for those that did not come home. is there medal. i am just here. when they demanded his surrender he initiated a counterattack. he looks up to the older generation recipients. they ve been doing this a lot longer. and i mean decades longer. so clearly we have a lot to learn from them. their voice for those that do not have a voice or as loud of a voice. is really for the next generation.
