They were trying to scare us, said Vicki Kirk, co-owner with her husband, Ballin, and a stylist at Pomp Salon. They were trying to scare us into complying.
Pomp Salon and two stylists, including Kirk, were cited and ordered to appear in court on Feb. 24, 2021. But the San Joaquin County’s District Attorney’s Office announced it will not file charges.

STOCKTON – Pomp Salon owner Dino Ballin remains steadfast to stay open.
He and others in the hair salon industry have filed an injunction against the state’s lockdown order after his business was raided last week by the California Department of Consumer Affairs. The plaintiffs have retained well-known criminal defense attorney Mark Geragos.
