obviously, there s still uncertainty here. you don t know for sure, but based on the numbers that people like john ralston are saying in nevada, it looks like the clinton campaign is doing the things that they need to do to be at or slightly behind or slightly ahead of where president obama was in 2012 and that s what we need. all right. we re going to have to take a quick break here. josh barrow and krystal ball, thank you. and if the control room can figure it out, they ll try to leave beyonce on the screen during commercials. i m not sure what commercial would suffer by sharing a screen with beyonce. i mean, wouldn t that just get them more eyeballs? what do we have here? what s coming up? oh, that s right. millions of people have already voted. that s one of the really amazing phenomenon in this election, the early vote. and we have an nbc news polling expert who s going to give us all of the details on the early vote. this is also the person who is going to call the election on
them more eyeballs? what do we have here? what s coming up? oh, that s right. millions of people have already voted. that s one of the really amazing phenomenon in this election, the early vote. and we have an nbc news polling expert who s going to give us all of the details on the early vote. this is also the person who is going to call the election on election night for nbc news. he s going to be sealed off in a room up here making the decision on exactly when he can make that call. also coming up, a judge gives a big, big win in north carolina to thousands of people who were purged from the voting lists there. we covered this case last night. william barber will be with us tonight to talk about that big win. when you have a cold, you just want powerful relief. only new alka-seltzer plus free of artificial dyes
is a major problem for hillary clinton, and it s one of the reasons that to try to energize african-american voters you have seen president obama, michelle obama, out on the campaign trial. why we re seeing president obama going to north carolina today to try to make the case for these voters to get out early and make their voices heard. i think democrats anticipated that this would be a problem. but the extent of the problem is really going to be the determining factor as to whether hillary clinton can win in some of these key states. andy, you re the polling expert. what can we really read from the early voting numbers? well, actually not a lot. there doesn t seem to be too much correlation between the early voting numbers, and what the actual vote will be. because, you think about voting, either early voting, or late voting, the biggest factor is determining if you have that much interest in politics or are going to vote at all. even voting on election day isn t that difficult.

creation and we have a moral responsibility to preserve it. it s an economic issue to keep america number one, green technologies. it s a national security issue. we ve had the generals testify over and over again the impact of climate change throughout the world being a national security issue. and as i say, a health issue in terms of clean air, clean water for our children to breathe. so there s every reason to try to fine common ground especially with the party that led the way on environmental issues. last question. i don t know any polling expert who thinks the democrats can recapture the house but you more bullish. i believe that we would if the election were today we would have a good chance to do so. what i ve said it depends on how big hillary clinton s margin is, a. b, that the concern i have is big donor money coming in, fossil fuel money, wall street money, special interest money,
