The agency further claimed that incriminating evidence comprising of digital evidence, call record details, Whatsapp chats, location tags, video and voice recordings, and several other documents had been submitted. The NCB, which has been probing the drugs angle in Sushant s death case, started the investigation after it received official communication from the Enforcement Directorate (ED), in which there were various chats related to drug consumption, procurement, usage, and transportation. The ED had on July 31 registered an Enforcement Case Information Report in the late actor s death case after a First Information Report (FIR) was filed by Rajput s father KK Singh against Rhea Chakraborty in Bihar on July 28.
Shantanu Muluk, an accused in the Toolkit conspiracy case, filed an anticipatory bail application in a Delhi court on Tuesday. Muluk, along with climate activist Disha Ravi and Nikita Jacob, are the three accused in the case. The Bombay High Court had granted transit anticipatory bail to him for 10 days on February 16. Jacob and Muluk joined the investigation at Delhi Police s Cyber Cell office in Dwarka on Monday. They were confronted with Ravi the same day after they were issued a notice to join the probe last week. The Delhi Police have contended that the Google document tweeted by Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg to back the farmers protest and then deleted, was created by Ravi and two other activists - Jacob and Muluk.
After a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) notice in connection to a coal scam case, Trinamool Congress leader Abhishek Banerjee s wife Rujira Banerjee on Monday replied to the agency, asking officials to visit her residence between 11 am and 3 pm on Tuesday. Though I am unaware of the reason for me being called for questioning or the subject matter of the investigation, you may visit my residence, as per your convenience between 11 am and 3 pm tomorrow, i.e., 23 February 2021, wrote Rujira in a letter to the CBI. You are requested to kindly inform me your schedule, she added. Earlier on Sunday, CBI served a notice to Rujira Banerjee Naroola, the wife of West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee s nephew Abhishek asking her to join the investigation related to the coal scam case.
Soon after the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) served notice to the wife of Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Abhishek Banerjee in a coal scam case, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Sunday said the people of Bengal cannot be intimidated with jail. Addressing an event celebrating the International Mother Language Day at Deshapriya Park here, Banerjee said, There are some leaders (in Delhi) who said they knew how to break the spine of Bengal. It is not easy to break our spine. Bengal taught me to fight bravely like a tiger. We cannot be intimidated with jail. The people who have fought against guns do not fear fighting a rat.
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is likely to skip the Niti Aayog s governing council meeting to be chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 20, sources said on Friday. The council, the apex body of the government s think tank, includes all chief ministers, lieutenant governors of Union Territories (UTs), several Union ministers and senior government officials. The prime minister will chair the Saturday s meeting, where issues related to agriculture, infrastructure, manufacturing and human resource development will be discussed, according to an official statement. Mamata Banerjee may not attend the Niti Aayog s February 20 meeting, a senior TMC leader said on condition of anonymity.
