The Norwegian Defence Materiel Agency (NDMA) signed a NOK350 million (nearly USD36 million) contract with Mesko for Piorun manportable air-defence systems (MANPADS) for the Norwegian Army on 29 November, the agency and the Polish company ann.

The Norwegian military would receive the Mesko S.A. Piorun MANPADS. Przemysław Kowalczuk, President of the Management Board at Mesko stated that “the agreement is a result of an open procurement process where we have been competing against European and American suppliers of weapons of this class”.
“From our perspective, it was about buying the best quality at the best price and as soon as possible. Piorun turned out to be the best option, also because the Polish Army ordered Piorun missiles at the same time " - says Defense Minister of Estonia Hanno Pevkur in an interview with Defence24.pl editor Juliusz Sabak. The Estonian minister also emphasizes the importance of allied cooperation, the state's ability to defend itself independently and support Ukraine.
Poland and Estonia plan to conclude an agreement on export of Piorun portable anti-aircraft missile systems, shooting down Russian Ka-52 helos, Su-24 and Su-25.
