CONCERNS have been raised around anti-social behaviour in Workington Town Centre. Allerdale Neighbourhood Policing Team tackled anti-social in Workington Town Centre on Monday with youths moved from areas that they regularly congregate. Police also spoke to two youths about riding e-scooters safely. Workington town councillor Ged Glaister said that there is not enough police visibility in the town centre to deter anti-social behaviour. “I work in the town centre about six days a week and there’s no police about. They’ve just taken more on.” Councillor Glaister works as a taxi driver in Workington and reported that residents have got in the car and mentioned anti-social behaviour in the area.
