Get a little less exasperating starting tonight. The d. C. Department of transportation is changing the timing of traffic lights at hundreds of intersections throughout northwest. The changes are in neighborhoods highlighted in this map here. Those corners are clogged more often than not. Now, the goal of the timing change is to improve traffic flow and shorten wait times for drivers. Ddot tells us it will monitor the new patterns and make adjustments as needed.
