4 held for raping minor in J-K s Kulgam ANI | Updated: Apr 08, 2021 08:14 IST Kulgam (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], April 8 (ANI): Four persons, including a policeman, were arrested for allegedly raping a minor girl in the Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said on Wednesday. According to the police, Qazigund Police Station received a written complaint from an individual alleging that her daughter was raped by three persons at Bonigam Qazigund with the help of a woman of Damjen area. The offence as per the complainant surfaced during the course of a medical examination where she (minor) was found pregnant, the official statement reads.

SRINAGAR: In a shocking incident a minor girl has conceived after being allegedly raped by two men in Qazigund area Kulgam district. A senior official told news agency KDC that a minor girl (name withheld) aged about 15/16 years old has got pregnant after she was allegedly raped by two men, one a policeman and the second one a retired army man. He said that police have registered a formal case in Police Station Qazigund under FIR Number 61/2021 U/S 342, 109, 376D of IPC under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. “Total four persons who were accused of the immoral act have been arrested. They include a policeman, a retired army man, a lady and another civilian,” he said.

Kulgam Rape Case: Police Version

SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Wednesday issued the following statement regarding the rape case of Kulgam district saying that police station Qazigund received a written complaint from an individual alleging therein that her daughter (name withheld) was raped by three persons at Bonigam Qazigund with the help of a woman of Damjen area. A police spokesman in a statement said that the said offence as per the complainant surfaced during the course of a medical examination where she was found pregnant. “On receipt of the complaint, a proper case vide FIR No. 61/2021 under relevant sections of law was registered in Police Station Qazigund and investigation was initiated,” said the spokesman.
