+ February 12, 2021 AN ex-convict who allegedly raped a minor was shot dead by the police in a hot pursuit operation at 6:05 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 12, 2021.
The suspect
• The suspect was identified as Rodilito Oringan, 27, a resident of Sitio Kalubian, Barangay Logon in Daanbantayan, Cebu.
• He was in and out of jail for robbery and rape.
The case details
According to Police Capt. Ian Macatangay, chief of the Daanbantayan Police Station:
• The family of the minor who was allegedly raped on the shores of Barrio Norte, Barangay Logon in Daanbantayan, Cebu went to the police station to file a complaint.
