Lt. Col. Maria Luisa Calubaquib, PRO5 spokesperson, said the anti-drug operations that were conducted in different provinces in the region resulted in the seizure of PHP7,791,116 worth of shabu. In Camarines Norte, police arrested Leo Asistio Jr., 37, of Sitio Banaba, Barangay Inchican, Silang, Cavite. Asistio yielded 50 grams of shabu with an estimated street value of PHP340,000 and loaded caliber .38 revolver without make and serial number loaded, Calubaquib said. Police also nabbed Omar Maralit, 30, of Barangay Guisican, Labo, Camarines Norte, a rice mill operator, by virtue of a search warrant for illegal possession of drugs. LEGAZPI CITY - Two suspects were arrested while over PHP13 million worth of shabu were seized in an anti-drug operation in Naga City, the Police Regional Office in Bicol (PRO5) said Friday. Lt. Col. Maria Luisa Calubaquib, PRO-5 spokesperson, said more or less 2 kilos of shabu with an estimated street value of PHP13.6 million were confiscated during the operation that was conducted on Thursday. "The buy-bust operation on Thursday evening at Diversion Road, Zone 5, Barangay Tabuco in Naga City resulted in the arrest of spouses Nelynn Tobias, 40, and Ernan Tobias, 45, of Sitio Uno, Patimbao, Sta. Cruz, Laguna. The undercover police and the confidential informant (CI) were able to buy from the suspects one piece of a heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing more or less 500 grams of shabu worth PHP1.1 million," Calubaquib said in an interview.
