Excelsior Sports Correspondent JAMMU, Apr 29: Vriddhi Royals trounced Elite Tigers by 51 runs in a thrilling contest and lifted the title trophy of 3rd Police Public Cricket Premier League (PPCPL), played at KC Sports Club, here today. Earlier, in the summit clash, Vriddhi Royals won the toss and elected to bat first and scored 159 runs for the loss of six wickets in the stipulated 15 overs. Arya made highest 37 runs, while Dikhshant scored 35 and Satyam contributed 34 runs. From bowling side, Dhruv Parmar took two important wickets while Sukhman and Abhay Tonday claimed one wicket each. In reply, Elite Tigers managed to score 108 runs for the loss of eight wickets and lost the match by 51 runs. Musaif played a good innings of 71 runs, while Shivansh made 15 runs. From bowling side, Vishal took three wickets, whereas Vanshaj and Prince Rana claimed one wicket each.

In first match today, Samar Strikers defeated Game Changer Rising Stars by 6 wickets. Batting first, Game Changer Rising Stars made only 93 runs by losing all the wickets in 17.4 overs. Raman made 26 runs, Aryan scored 13 runs and Snoop made 12 runs.

Batting first, Elite Tigers score 194 runs in 20 overs with Musaif Aijaz made highest 70 runs, Rohan Gill scored 46 runs, while Shivansh and Sukhman contributed 21 runs each. From the bowling side, Sushant and Harjeet took two wickets each, while Sanoop took one wicket for his team. In reply, Game Changer Rising Stars could not compete and bundled out at 93 runs by losing all wickets, thus lost the match by big margin of 101 runs. Arjan Sharma scored 26 runs and Jahanveer Singh made 18 runs for their team. From the bowling side, Sahil took four wickets, Harman and Abay Tondon bagged two wickets each.

3rd PPCPL U/19 from Apr 18 3rd PPCPL U/19 from Apr 18 Excelsior Sports Correspondent JAMMU, Apr 5: Zonal Police Headquarters Jammu is going to organize 3rd Police Public Cricket Premier League (PPCPL) for Under-19 boys on the pattern of IPL in collaboration with senior cricketers of Jammu & KC Sports Club Jammu from April 18. The league will be organized under the guidance of Police Officers and the reputed cricketers of the J&K. The national players from UT along with top India players have confirmed their participation in the event. The league shall be played on ‘Round Robin Basis’ and each team will play six league matches in the first round and the top four teams shall qualify for the semi-final stage.
