KNOX COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) Shop with a cop looked a bit different this year in Knox County. Instead of children shopping with volunteers at Walmart, packages were delivered to their door.
Correctional Police Officers Frank Vanihel, Kevin Allen, Randy Vanvleet and Travis Davis, with the Indiana Department of Correction, were among the volunteers who participated this year. It was an honor to assist with shop with a cop, Vanvleet said. It was awesome seeing the smiles on the kids faces when we delivered the presents.
When they arrived at Walmart, the gifts were packaged up and ready for delivery. Each package contained a card with a child s home address.
