James City County Police Department is hiring Virginia-certified police officers, according to a recent announcement.
Depending on qualifications, basic law enforcement certified officers would start as either a Police Officer I at a salary of $43,500 or Police Officer II with a salary of $45,674, according to the Jan. 28 announcement.
JCCPD describes itself as a “mid-size department offering opportunities in Marine Patrol, Underwater Search and Recovery, SWAT and Police Motors,” according to the department’s website.
In addition to a take-home car and a gym, benefits include health and dental insurance, retirement, life insurance, tuition assistance and a home ownership program.
