A snowstorm has led to power outages and hazardous driving conditions across southern and southwestern Finland on Tuesday.
The blizzard has also extended to western and central parts of the country, but significantly less snow has fallen in these areas.
The Finnish Meteorological Institute has issued a series of weather warnings in relation to dangerous driving conditions, especially in the south and southwest.

Finland set for a muted New Year s Eve
Officials are encouraging people to ring in the New Year at home to avoid the spread of coronavirus.
Helsinki will put on a laser show from the Olympic Stadium tower starting at dusk. These green laser beams will replace the capital s traditional fireworks display.

Cities across Finland are actively encouraging people to stay at home on New Year s Eve to help prevent the spread of coronavirus. Total infections during the epidemic surpassed 36,000 on Thursday, New Year s Eve.
In addition to cities canceling public fireworks displays to avoid large gatherings, authorities in many places are also urging people to refrain from setting off their own fireworks.
