December 16, 2020 - 9:14 AM Police in Quesnel have arrested a couple who robbed an elderly woman after she gave them $20 for food and a ride. According to a Quesnel RCMP media release, the couple stole the elderly woman s purse when they left her care after she d given them a lift. On Dec. 8 at roughly 5:45 p.m. the couple had come to the woman s aid when they saw her having difficulties making a deposit at a bank ATM in Quesnel. The couple helped the elderly woman with the deposit and then walked her back to her car. The couple then told her they hadn t eaten for a while, and they also asked for a ride down the street as the weather was bad. The RCMP said in true Christmas spirit she woman gave them $20 and a ride.
