The Police in Mecklenburg has launched search operations to find two missing persons who allegedly went missing at the Mecklenburg policing area. Helen Mahlakwane aged 18, was last seen by her mother between 23 February 2021 at about 07:00 and 24 February 2021 at Mphogo village going to Potoko High School for her matric results and since then, she never returned back home. The family tried to make contact with her on her cellphone but the phone was on voicemail. She was wearing blue jeans, a yellow blouse, and a peach leather jacket with white and purple slippers at the time of her disappearance. She is dark in complexion.
