Teargas, bullets as Kalangala residents protest Bobi Wine arrest

Police in Kalangala town council fired teargas and live ammunition to disperse angry supporters of National Unity Platform (NUP) presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine.
Residents of Kigerekyanvubu staged the protests following the arrest of Kyagulanyi by multitudes of soldiers deployed in the island district ahead of Kyagulanyi s campaign rallies. For the better part of Wednesday evening, police was engaged in running battles with the protestors who lit up car tyres in the middle of several tarmac roads.
