Update: Indiana State Police on Thursday identified the man shot by police Monday as Dillon Gard, 30, of Crawfordsville.
Gard is in an Indianapolis-area hospital in serious but stable condition, according to police.
No additional information has been released.
Original Story: Police in Crawfordsville shot a man Monday after a standoff with police that lasted a little more than six hours, Indiana State Police said.
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department responded to a report of a domestic battery at a residence on State Road 47 in Crawfordsville about 49 miles northwest of Indianapolis around 2:15 p.m. Monday, according to a statement from state police.
