Article by January 13, 2021
Accused Jahbarrie Kimar Lionel Walcott has described as a “set up” a five-month-old criminal charge brought against him.
It is alleged that the 31-year-old from 4th Avenue Alleyne’s Land, Bush Hall, St Michael entered the house of Mashauna Thompson as a trespasser with intent to inflict bodily harm upon Shane Carrington and had a firearm with him at the time.
He was not required to plead to the indictable charge which reportedly occurred on August 5, 2020.
Police Constable Sayleen Hinds in addressing Chief Magistrate Ian Weekes objected to bail based on the seriousness of the offence. She submitted that while Walcott had no previous convictions he was on bail from the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court on three serious charges namely rape, endangering life and serious bodily harm.
