Easter Marred By Three Shootings, Deadly Hit-and-Run
Easter in Acadiana turned in to a bloody Sunday.
Three shootings happened in three different cities this Easter, with at least one of the victims landing in the hospital.
In Grand Coteau, one person is in custody after a shooting at a gas station. Police say that shooting happened after a fight between two people during which a third person tried to separate the combatants. The victim is in the hospital. His condition is unknown.
In Ville Platte, police are investigating a shooting during an Easter gathering at Hope Park. Police Chief Neal Lartigue says two people were grazed by bullets. That case remains under investigation.
