The two men didn’t think the body cameras were working when they made their remarks ahead of a scheduled Black Lives Matter march. It probably won’t f -ing work anyway, former Police Chief Gene Allmond is heard saying on body camera.

HAMILTON, Georgia (WLTZ/NBC News) A Georgia police chief and one of his officers are out of their jobs after body camera footage showing their racist comments during a Black Lives Matter protest were found on body camera footage.
Hamilton Police Chief Gene Allmond and Patrolman John Brooks have both been removed from their positions with the Hamilton Police Department.
Chief Allmond reportedly resigned, while Patrolman Brooks was terminated.
It was believed that the body cameras that officers were wearing at the Black Lives Matter protest in Hamilton in June 2020 were not working properly.

The two men, who have been forced from their Georgia police department, were reportedly recorded talking before a planned Black Lives Matter protest last year.
A west Georgia police chief and an officer have reportedly been forced from their department after body camera footage taken before a Black Lives Matter protest in their area last year captured the two men defending slavery and using racial slurs.
Hamilton Police Chief Gene Allmond resigned and Patrolman John Brooks was fired last week after the footage was unearthed by a city employee who was checking to see if the body camera was functional, local station WRBL reported.
