Former Orange police head detective dies from complications of COVID-19

ORANGE A former longtime police detective has died from complications of COVID-19, according to his obituary.
Rodger Addil, 72, of Beacon Falls, a former town resident, was a member of the Orange Police Department for nearly 30 years, starting as a supernumerary officer in 1971 and rising to the rank of head of the detective bureau.
In a post on the Police Department Facebook page in “memory of our retired lieutenant and friend,” the department said, “May he find peace and comfort in God s loving arms. We will never forget him.”
