Members of the Model T Ford International Club want to show off their vintage vehicles in Ubly.
The Ubly Village Council approved closing off Main Street from Park Street to Pike Street from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., on Aug. 28, to accommodate for safe viewing of the vehicles.
The event is expected to draw between 75 to 100 Model T’s.
The Model T Ford Club was founded in December of 1952 in Chicago, Illinois.
Henry Ford built his first experimental car in a workshop behind his home in Detroit in 1896. After formation of the Ford Motor Company, the first Ford car was assembled at the Mack Avenue plant in July 1903. Then five years later, in 1908, the highly successful Model T was introduced.
