Tracking the storm system. Weve traded the heat for some thunderstorms. The heat wave is over but weve got thunderstorms moving through parts of the area. We have had some sun peek out toward the center city skyline but the main thunderstorm that were tracking is passing just to the south of the area. You can see weve got some drizzle lingering here toward philadelphia, extending into parts of southern new jersey, but our heavier storm moving out of northern delaware and into salem county. P pennsville seeing some heavy rain right now but we did to watch as this did produce heavy rain. We actually have a flood advisory in effect through 8 15 so you could be running into localized flooding there. We have additional storms off to the north and west that will be tracking eastward the next couple of hours so well need to watch for scattered locally strong storms, mainly where we see the yellow shading. Out to the west in Chester County theres some areas where you briefly have some steadier rain but again this is fairly low impact nuisance precipitation. Thats what were going to be in for for the next few hours during the morning commute. But as we go later into the morning and into the afternoon some spotty heavier showers are probable and then later on in the evening hours some thunderstorms are going to roll in from the west and those could actually be gusty i think in general the ones will pick up late today and tonight.
