Poles N Holes postponed; more Polar Fest events set for this week
The Detroit Lakes Breakfast Rotary Club announced Wednesday afternoon that its annual Poles N Holes Ice Fishing Derby, which was scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 6, has been postponed to Feb. 13 due to the subzero temperatures expected to sweep through the region this weekend. More Polar Fest events, including the Noon Rotary s Polar-riffic Spaghetti Feed, Ice Tee Golf and Freeze Your Buns Run, are scheduled throughout the week; the festival concludes Monday, Feb. 15.

More than 20 events set for Polar Fest, Feb. 4-15 in Detroit Lakes
Detroit Lakes annual celebration of all things winter, Polar Fest, returns on Thursday, Feb. 4. Though accommodations have been made for state-imposed COVID-19 safety restrictions, more than 20 events are still planned for the 12-day festival, which runs through Monday, Feb. 15.
