through the hallway, and this is inside of the store, and that almost blew me off of my feet. gar ry, what did it sound li when it came through? we have seen the pictures of the lowe s, and it is demolished. well, i never heard any of the sounds of the destruction of the building. i never heard tearing metal or falling things. all i heard was a terrible wind and a roaring up over the top of the building. and quite honestly, it lasted for less than ten seconds once we were in that protected area, and it was over and quiet. ten seconds, but i bet it felt like an eternity, so by the time you and your wife brush off and realize you are okay and everyone is okay and you go out the look for your car, and what do you find? well, the big shock is that we were at that point weren t sure what happened, because the area we were in looked normal and when we walked out of the back of the store, and the whole parking area behind the store where the trucks load and unload
