EDGERTON, Kan. â Residents filled Edgertonâs City Hall Tuesday, sounding off against a proposed industrial development they say would slash property values.
âIt just doesnât seem right,â Dennis Koch told 41 Action News.
Koch said his family has owned land along the Miami-Johnson County line since 1982.
âPeople have just moved into homes out here or built homes are going to have their property values destroyed,â he said.
NorthPoint Warehouses is asking Edgerton to rezone seven parcels of land in southwest Johnson County, amounting to nearly 640-acres, for an expanded industrial and commercial development.
