the start of the war, literally it was a jaw drop. explain how many family members you ve lost and tell us what you plan to tell the attendees at this march later today. of course, and thank you for having me. at this point, in the past three months, i ve lost over 120 members of my family. my family is one of the oldest, we ve been there for over 500 years, and at this point thousands of my family members are sleeping on the street. i have american family members who are trapped in gaza who have been trying to get out desperately. they are cut off from food, from water, from medication. they have air strikes all around them. and there s no assistance from the u.s. government. and i plan to speak to all of these things at the rally today and to bring awareness of, you know, the present conditions of palestinians, and also to reiterate this is not something new that palestinians are
tensions ratcheting up at the u.s./mexico border where to title 42 is in place now after john roberts stepped in. it was due to expire tomorrow. roberts has now issued a temporary hold. where does this go from here. at this point thousands of migrants hoping to the enter the country are bracing for what comes next. ed lavendera joining us from el paso, texas. el paso expecting a surge ever migrants when title 42 ends and this temporary hold as i understand it hasn t changed plans for city. sfr reporter: yeah, right now, as they wait for the judges to announce on that front, that everything here will proceed as if title 42 is going to be lifted on wednesday. and right now city and council officials are most concerned
were stuck behind enemy lines without any clear guidance from the state department set up a hotline and fielded hundreds probably by this point thousands of calls. we have hundreds and hundreds of cases open right now. many of these are american citizens or green card holders who are afghans who have been approved and vetted for special immigrant visas because they risked their lives alongside american troops. and they simply couldn t get information. we have been able to help them get the information they need. we helped some of them get inside the airport and get on flights, eventually. but, again, we have hundreds, if not thousands of americans citizens, stranded in afghanistan. i would point out, too. we have a lot of green card holders as well who are in afghanistan and from the reports we got from the secretary of state and the state department today, we re not taking any steps anymore to evacuate these green card holders. to say nothing of afghans who fought alongside us. bret
i ve been asking them about the video. they saw they can t imagine it. listen to what they said. we don t have that sound at this point. they said if these chinese paramilitary police would come across, it would ruin the social order of hong kong. they couldn t imagine beijing would take that decision to move those riot teams in. hong kong police have been saying they have the situation under control but this is a scene that is being played out across hong kong. at this point thousands of people chanting support hong come calling for carey lamb to step down. the police have been saying if certain elements of these protesters don t use violence, they won t use force. we have been seeing this in recent weeks.
