School is back in session and for one local school district, this year came with a new look. West Point Consolidated School District received funds to help make changes around the district.
When the Fifth Street High School class of 1969 graduated, graduates went their separate ways as further schooling, military service and life in general got in the way.
As the new school year gets underway in the West Point Consolidated School District, the high school will be under new leadership with someone who walked those same halls as a student.
Students across the Golden Triangle will soon have the opportunity to learn how to properly change oil, use a circular saw and even how to operate a fire extinguisher from the comfort of a traditional classroom.
