worthy of consideration than other circuits in this country. margaret, we talked during the course of the brett kavanaugh hearings, as i look at the way justice roberts has responded to the president s attack here, it makes me wonder the degree to which that was a cause or a consequence. chief justice john roberts has spoken out about the poe litization of the judiciary. it s something he s talked in speeches at law schools across the country. help us decide his frame of mind? it s taken him a long time to brush back trump on this issue. he s done it in law reviews. he s done it in speeches, but he hasn t done it directly. what justice roberts see that trump can t see because he can t see beyond the moment he s in, is that they re trump judges, and the trump judges among others are going to be ruling on cases just like the one you had in this segment before, david, on whether lethal force at the
right? what you re saying if someone were to say, congressman, here s evidence this was termination because of the investigation into the president campaign s possible collusion with russia, then you would find that improper or you would be open to finding that improper? well, i believe there was just cause for the termination of comey. i think the question is what do we do next? first and foremost, the president has a duty to appoint a successor that both political parties hold in high regard. we cannot continue to have this kind of poe litization of the fbi, and i think we need to wait and see who the president is going to nominate to fill that position. but it better be somebody that the democrats and the republicans both have confidence in. right. and it needs to be somebody who as best as possible in this
