The National Weather Service has issued an ice storm warning for northeast Pennsylvania. The warning goes into affect at 6 p.m. tonight, and lasts until 10 a.m. Tuesday.
Portions of New Jersey and east central and northeast Pa. including Monroe, Carbon, Lehigh and Northampton counties could see significant icing, with ice accumulations of two to four tenths of an inch, accompanied by up to one inch of snow and sleet.
The NWS s detailed forecast for Monday evening calls for a 100% certainty of precipitation, beginning with freezing rain and sleet and then transitioning to just freezing rain after 10 p.m.
