Panasonic has announced not one but two follow-up cameras to the Lumix GH5, a camera that’s been popular with videographers since it launched in 2017. There’s the GH6, which Panasonic says features a brand-new sensor and will launch by the end of the year for $2,500, and the GH5 Mark II, which is going up for preorder today, with a body-only package coming in at $1,700.

For $1,995, Blackmagic Design’s Pocket Cinema Camera 6K (BMPCC 6K) was a shockingly good cinema camera that nearly rivaled products costing multiple times the price. Now, the company has launched an updated version called the Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro (BMPCC 6K Pro) for $2,495 with a number of important new features.
The BMPCC 6K Pro uses the same sensor as the last version, so picture quality is identical. However, it has a number of important new features that make it more suitable for professional cinema shoots, including built-in ND filters, an optional EVF, a brighter display more suitable for viewing HDR footage, a tilt screen and more. I’ve had a chance to use the camera for a time, and here’s how I made out.
