The body of a Colorado woman who had gone missing after falling overboard on Saturday afternoon has been located.
According to a press release from the Scituate Police Department, Barbara Warner, 78, had been one of three passengers on a vessel reportedly overcome by sea conditions at the mouth of the North River just off the beach in an area known as “The Spit.”
The Scituate Police and Fire Departments, as well as the Scituate Harbormaster’s Office, were immediately dispatched after the Scituate Emergency Communications Center received multiple 911 calls about a vessel in distress.
According to the release, the Marshfield Harbormaster and the United States Coast Guard Station Point Allerton also responded.
