good morning to viewers here in the united states and all around the world, it is thursday, june 2nd. i m john berman with brianna keilar. and we do begin with the deadliest mass shooting in america since last week. four people killed in tulsa, oklahoma, this time at a hospital complex which, of course, follows mass shootings at an elementary school, a grocery store and a church. this is what we know, tulsa police say the gunman opened fire with a handgun and a rifle before dying of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. fewer than ten people are wounded, none at this point we are told with life-threatening injuries. this is now the 20th mass shooting in america since uvalde just nine days ago according to the gun violence archive. this comes as we learn dramatic new details about the police response at robb elementary school during the standoff there. we will have more on that in a moment. let s begin, though, in tulsa with the latest developments there. lucy kafanov is on the
school. several mass shootings breaking out across the country over the weekend n oklahoma a 9-year-old was injured, nevada, arizona and tennessee, most shot were teenagers. the gun violence following the supermarket shooting in buffalo, the church shooting in california and, of course, the massacre in uvalde, texas, that killed 19 children and two teachers. today the first of many funeral services will begin there. we will have more on that and the president s visit ahead. people are feeling on edge, in brooklyn an active shooter scare at a boxing match sent folks fleeing the stands and running for their lives. 18 people were injured at the barkley center, turns out it was a loud noise heard on the street that sent crowds rushing for the exits. let s go to cnn s nadia romero live in atlanta with the latest. reporter: you mentioned the shooting that happened in chattanooga, tennessee, where six people were injured and police tell us the majority were either teenagers or

make sure everyone had the opportunity to vote. in georgia, you can vote no excuse absentee voting 17 days early voting and election day. gave voters a choice and they responded. we had a very calm, smooth, well-attended, you know, good turnout election. and what can be expected with the runoff? that s happening in georgia, between senator raphael warnock and, of course, herschel walker? will that go smoothly? yes, it will. we ve been working with the counties. it s a tighter schedule. it s a four-week runoff period. ballots sent and people can request absentee ballots. that s happened and early voting starts right after thanksgiving, the monday after. five days early voting, election day and no excuse absentee voting. we expect more than likely half the voters will come back to vote. s in a runoff four years ago and know about 1.5, 1.6 people
