The Pleasanton Unified School District Board of Trustees will be seeing two new faces after this election cycle is over one of whom is already guaranteed the position. This will be the first district-based election for PUSD.
Unfortunately the Pleasanton Weekly s candidate forum for Pleasanton Unified School District Board of Trustees, originally scheduled for this Tuesday (Oct. 4), has been canceled due to illness.
Voters should look toward candidates who can build bridges among diverse perspectives while achieving important goals for Pleasanton. In our view, those council candidates are Dean Wallace in District 1 and Jamie Yee in District 3.
Local resident Christine Lutz, one of the three candidates to qualify for the election ballot for Pleasanton Unified School District Board of Trustees Area 2, confirmed to the Weekly that she will be withdrawing from the race.
Urvi Shah, a longtime Pleasanton resident and mother of two, is competing for the open Area 2 seat on the Pleasanton Unified School District Board of Trustees this November.
