NEW JERSEY New Jersey has launched a new online dashboard that tracks coronavirus vaccinations town-by-town, officials announced on Monday
(see which Jersey Shore towns have the highest vaccine rates below).
The charts posted on the state s website track how many adults have received one dose of a vaccine, and how many have been fully vaccinated in each town across the state, by percentage, Gov. Phil Murphy said during a news conference.
It can also be broken down by age group, including 18-and-older and 65-and-older, Health Commissioner Judith Persichilli said. Each town is shaded, with towns that have higher vaccination percentages being shaded the darkest.

POINT PLEASANT BORO – Local officials say they want to prevent a recurrence of the long-term power outages that have impacted Point Pleasant Boro over the last two years.
Finding these outages unacceptable, Mayor Robert Sabosik and the Borough Council engaged in several recent meetings with representatives from Jersey Central Power & Light in an effort to upgrade and strengthen the electric infrastructure.
As a result, JCP&L has completed over $700,000 worth of upgrades since the fall that are expected to significantly reduce the number of outages going forward, Sabosik said.

While severe storms will still cause some outages, Sabosik said, the work that has been done should mitigate sporadic and unnecessary outages going forward.

POINT PLEASANT BORO – Point Pleasant Boro has delayed the return of courtesy busing that was scheduled to begin on Tuesday because of the coronavirus.
The district has learned that a member of the Transportation Department has tested positive for COVID-19, causing a mandatory quarantine for several members in the department due to close contact.
As a result of the required quarantine, some bus runs are temporarily suspended for the next week or so. Courtesy busing that was scheduled to begin on Tuesday, January 19th will be delayed until further notice, said Superintendent Vincent Smith.

Parents of students affected by the temporary suspension of bus runs will receive a separate letter from Jonathan Triebwasser, supervisor of Transportation, through Parent Portal.
