Week 16 settled all but one playoff spot with three teams qualifying for postseason play, while two others were eliminated. Three teams are tied for the final playoff position with two of them playing in Week 17 - all three lost this weekend. Spokane locked up the top spot in the National Conference as well.
With playoff fever at a frenzy, I decided to bring you some early Breaking it Down tidbits in this postseason update. There were three Arena games Friday night, all with massive playoff implication and all of which Sunshine State teams won. Let's look at those three games and the playoff implications heading into the rest of Week 15.
Friday night, Arizona became the fifth team to qualify for the playoffs, Spokane moved one step closer to securing homefield throughout the entire postseason and Iowa was eliminated. Tonight, three division titles could be won, the National Conference playoff teams might be decided and overall seven of eight playoff teams could be in the books.
