Also somewhat higher heat exposure than what we probably get most of the time in San Francisco, so conditions are really variable and then its usually controlled rather than kind of normal. Yeah . So, in general where possible, staying away from plastic Water Bottles is not only making your life a little bit healthier, its decreasing our dependence on plastic which is more important as a broader environmental issue, but even Water Bottles, even if you leave them in a cold environment, you dont know where theyve come from or theyve been in ship holds which is really hot, just as a number one rule, if you smell something plastic dont drink out of it. Thats good advice. I have two questions, theyre a little bit unrelated but the first one goes on the scheme of plastic, so plastic wrap, plastic bags, you know, its great to say we should all use glass but we know whats used out there is plastic, and its reusable, you can come up with all these ways to avoid it but theres plastic everywhere

The San Francisco playgrounds history dates back to 1927 when the area where the present playground and center is today was purchased by the city for 27,000. In the 1950s, the center was expanded by then mayor robinson and the old gym was built. Thanks to the passage of the 2008 clean and safe Neighborhood Parks bond, the Sunset Playground has undergone extensive renovation to its four acres of fields, courts, play grounds, community rooms, and historic gymnasium. Here we are. 60 years and 14 million later, and we have got this beautiful, brandnew rec center completely accessible to the entire neighborhood. The new rec center
7 and a half million renovation is part of the clean and safe Neighbors Park Fund which was on the ballot four years ago and look at how that Public Investment has transformed our neighborhood. The playground is unique in that it serves a number of age groups, unlike many of the other properties, it serves small children with the childrens play grounds and clubhouses that has basketball courts, it has an outdoor soccer field and so there were a lot of people that came to the table that had their wish list and we did our best to make sure that we kind of divided up spaces and made sure that we kept the old features of the playground but we were able to enhance all of those features. The playground and the soccer field and the tennis fields and it is such a key part of this neighborhood. We want kids to be here. We want families to be here and we want people to have athletic opportunities. We are given a real responsibility to insure that the publics money is used appropriately and that

Desert communities can continue to live. Man the biggest water user in the desert is turf. Turf uses a lot of irrigation and uses spray irrigation, so what weve done here is use artificial turf. Youre never going to be able to achieve the look of back east or the look of, say, california, with subtropical plants, but our landscapes are still lush and use about 30 of what the subtropical landscape with turf would use. Las vegas has adopted a drought tolerant ordinance. Were using less water today than we used five years ago, despite over 300,000 new residents. I think its a Pretty Amazing example as to how a town can really turn on a dime if theres the political will and if the public gets behind it. Narrator even the casinos and resorts have adapted to efficient water use. Mulroy the Las Vegas Strip uses only 3 of all the water that we deliver. And when you think about it, its the largest economic driver in the state, the largest employer, bar none. They knew they had to go the extra m
