Over 60,000 people gathered in Detroit on Saturday night at Ford Field for SummerSlam, the World Wrestling Entertainment's (WWE) second biggest show of the year. It was the first WWE event to be held at the arena since 2007 when a record-holding 80,000 fans attended WrestleMania 23.
Some residents of trendy Williamsburg are crying foul over the dozens of migrants being sheltered in the recreation center at its popular McCarren Park claiming the city's asylum crisis has left "chaos emerging everywhere.''
After days of migrants lined up and sleeping on the ground outside the Roosevelt Hotel, they were allowed inside the makeshift processing center after Mayor Eric Adams paid a midnight visit.
Dozens of adult migrants are settling in at the newly opened makeshift shelter at McCarren Park on the border of hipster Brooklyn neighborhoods Williamsburg and Greenpoint Saturday.
