UWL s Schwarz credits players after reaching 400 wins

The dugout is especially riding high on momentum thanks to some history made over the last week. That’s because head coach Chris Schwarz is officially in the 400-win club–just the sixth WIAC coach to reach that mark. He didn’t actually realize he’d done it until the team told him after the game that clinched the mark, but he doesn’t crave the credit. “Some of the really good teams we had from 2012 to present, really, and the players we’ve had–those are the people that deserve the accolades,” Schwarz said. But veteran players like Zach Pronschinske say Schwarz deserves recognition for the 17 years of results he’s helped foster, which include two Division III national title game appearances.
