A toddler who was sitting in someone's lap was killed in a crash between an SUV and semi-truck on U.S. 85 at the Justin Avenue exit in Platteville, according to emergency responders.
There were no car seats found inside the vehicle or on the scene, the release said. Investigators confirmed the young child who died on the scene was sitting on the laps of adults during the collision.
