Fire crews at Peace Street THE damage caused to a car garage by a fire earlier this year was so great that fire investigators have been unable to identify the cause. West Yorkshire Fire Authority recently released a report into the biggest incidents it was called to between July and September. One of these was a blaze at Platinum Limousines on Peace Street on July 3. At the height of the fire, 46 firefighters and eight engines from across West Yorkshire were dealing with the blaze, which gutted one half of the building on the road off Bowling Black Lane. The report into the incident, which went before the Fire Authority on Friday, said: “The cause of the fire cannot be determined at this time, deliberate ignition cannot be ruled due to the damage within the building it is not possible to identify any evidence to support this hypothesis.”
