Ex-Radio Presenter in Multiple US Businesses After Leaving Kenya Former Truth FM manager Lawrence Thuku poses for a photo on April 15, 2021 Facebook In 2016, award-winning radio presenter Lawrence Thuku relocated to the US after his family and friends warned him that he and other journalists were in danger.  Media personalities across the country were then protesting against threats and intimidation directed towards journalists, who were agitating for freedom of the press.  The former Biblia Husema Broadcasting presenter had travelled to the US for a talk show and speaking engagement but he was forced to cut his trip short and seek refuge in the US after being cautioned against returning home.

Each year, employees give $1 on Fridays when they choose to wear jeans to work. ALS then matches the total contribution and gives the proceeds to a local cause.   “We chose the Cheshire Food Pantry as our designated charity based on rising food insecurity in our town triggered by high unemployment rates,” said Mario D’Aquila, MBA and Chief Operating Officer of ALS. “According to the Food Pantry, 20% of Cheshire residents or over 1,900 households are ALICE, which stands for Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed.
