Residential complexes in Goa will now be required to have a dedicated space for automated external defibrillators (AEDs) in order to tackle cardiac emergencies. The decision was made by the Town and Country Planning (TCP) Board in response to the increasing number of heart-related emergencies in the state. Additionally, the TCP board has also decided to grant exemptions for increased floor area ratio (FAR) and height to buildings and properties in housing societies over 20 years old that require redevelopment.
