anonymous stuff coming out of malaysia and use that. i think we want to have some backup though side to know that people are taking it seriously here. you reported another story here in the times that the plane altered its course more than once. and then there was the piece about the story about the plane turning sharply to the west, but then it turned out the turn was not so sharply. so even it seems to me that unlike pundits going on the air .speculating, american officials presumably know what they re talking about, but even they are engaged in some informed speculation. is that fair? i wouldn t say it s informed speculation. i would say they re getting information a it comes out through this investigation and like any investigation, they uncover new things and the story evolves. there s always a bit of fog of war, what really happened, and especially in this story there s not a lot of information about anything. the interesting thing is, i ve never received as much reader e-mai
were they trying to get the plane to an altitude where people onboard could breathe easily because of depressurization? or decompression onboard? was there a fire in the cockpit that made them make that turn back? perhaps it was a u-turn. we know this took around two minutes on a 777. was that a 90 degree to 180 degree turn? let me share with you, a couple of weeks ago i went out to the northeast of malaysia, just off the coast of the south china sea. i spoke to some fishermen who were out fishing, night fishing that night. they saw a low flying aircraft. they said it was extraordinary. they have never seen a plane flying so low. but crucially, don, tatabara airport has an airway long enough for a 777 to land on. around 7,900 feet. was the plane turning around to make an emergency landing at that airport before it

investigation, to realize this has been an incompetent investigation from day one. why, what keeps changing? the facts keep changing, they release information and say something totally different. look at the new timeline they released. look at how much time it took to get them to the houses of the pilots. they re part of the investigation, we have to go in there. they waited several daysment look how long the military took just to be able to say we saw it on our military radar and when asked what did they say? well, we were not asked specifically. right? when you see investigations conducted like this, we can appreciate the blessings of american exceptionalism. we wasted o apparently the wasted four or five days, regarding the plane turning and heading west.
apparently saw the plane turning, heading towards the straits of malacca and up to kazakhstan, other places that seem a little bit less likely. but part of what s coming out of this, ashleigh, because of all this confusion, are more and more of these theories that just seem more outlandish. but they re living, because what else can people do right now, including the investigators, except look at all possibilities. one, which has run a lot of attention, the idea that somehow the plane hid in plain sight. that it turned off all of its radar gear, then slipped in behind another airline that was flying along with all of its gear operating. and this plane didn t know this plane was here, because it was sending those signals. the radar didn t know it. and they basically became a single spot on the radar that nobody noticed going by. could it happen? be hard to pull off. but everything right now is a mystery. and it all seems improbable, at best. ashleigh? i have a better word is freakish.
